I foster excellence in others and ignite top line growth. My expertise helps my clients go bigger, be braver, and accelerate ideas into action.

As a trusted thought partner, I specialize in supporting leaders as they tackle the complex challenges they previously saw as insurmountable. I bring clarity to stagnant organizations, help shape overarching ambitions and directions, and work with you to resolve the trade-offs inherent in key strategic decisions.

With over 25 years of global strategy, corporate development and finance expertise, I have amassed experience across a wide range of sectors including tech, communications, aerospace, nonprofit, healthcare and many more. I've facilitated strategic planning sessions with Boards of Directors, acted in C-Suite and advisory roles at start-ups, and successfully closed historic acquisitions. I helped them all establish a vision, understand their situation, and make a plan to take meaningful action in achieving long-term goals and objectives.

My expertise underpins Prometheus’ best-in-class methodologies. By focusing on clearly defining the end goal, understanding where you are today and carefully mapping a pathway to success, my engagements have positively shifted organizational outcomes. I masterfully co-create the story to tell your investors, and internal and external partners.

I hold an MBA from the University of California, Irvine and B.A. degrees in Political Science and Economics from the University of Kentucky. I have also completed executive education programs at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the Darden School at the University of Virginia and am currently pursuing my CGMA and ABV credentials from AICPA.

Q&A

Growing Up

I was a military brat, so I can tell you I was born in Oklahoma City, OK, but my first memories are of Carlsbad, CA, just outside of San Diego.

Family

My wife Lisa, our five kids Roslyn, Grant, Cameron, Grier and Griffin, and our two dogs, Coco and Millie.

Favorite Music

Depends on what I am doing. If it’s relaxing, it’s country. If it’s exercise, it’s probably going to be some sort of fast paced DJ mix.

Favorite Food

Mom’s lasagna. Full stop.

Favorite Drink

Cabernet to recap the day with the wife after work. Belgian or German beers with friends and family.

Spare Time

Be outside, hiking, kayaking, running, skiing or exploring some far-off cultures and touching history.

First Job

Selling popcorn, candy and soda to the middle schoolers in Greenville, SC when I was 7.

Something no one would believe

I have circumnavigated the globe in one big trip! Oh, and I was on the ‘Love Connection’ TV show.

Situation: Assess the strategic fit and valuation for an acquisition target in the Cybersecurity space.

I’ve rarely walked away with high opinions of external consultants… but you far exceeded my expectations of what good looked and felt like and set a benchmark for my expectations going forward.

What's in a name?

In Greek mythology, PROMETHEUS was the Titan who stole fire from the gods and gave it to humanity as a gift.  This act of compassion is often interpreted to mean PROMETHEUS gave us all the desire to learn and to create. Thus, the gift of fire came to represent human striving, particularly the quest for knowledge and the PROMETHEUS name became synonymous with forethought.

At PROMETHEUS CONSULTING GROUP, we strive to provide you with the foresight to create the optimal business solution to achieve your long-term growth objectives.
